How this site was built

By AI agents under my direction, with the rules I use at work. A working example of what I'm offering.

  1. Who built it

Three of us. I set the rules, decided what's true and approved every page. Fable, an AI model, wrote every word and reviewed the code. Claude Opus built the pages, the map and the palette.

I signed off on both. Same as at work: machines do the work, a person holds the approval.

  2. The rules I gave them

No em dashes. No brochure filler. No invented clients, quotes or results; every number is from work I did. No naming my employer or colleagues. Nothing in progress called finished.

No trackers, cookies or popups. Write for the people who run businesses here, in their words.

  3. How it's built

Plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. No framework, no third-party scripts, fonts hosted with the site so nothing phones home.

Every page works with JavaScript off. It's the smallest piece of infrastructure I run, and the only one I don't have to patch.

  4. The type, the map and the photos

The headline face is Overpass, a descendant of Highway Gothic, the type on the green signs along I-65. Labels are monospace, like map legends.

The towns and I-65 on the home page are plotted from real coordinates; the contours behind them are drawn by code.

The portraits were made with an AI image model from my own selfies and video stills. The settings aren't real places.

  5. What it costs to run

Pennies a month. Static files on a host with a free tier, a domain name, nothing else. No server to patch, no database to back up. If it ever goes down, the fix is uploading a folder.

Work that eats your week. Sales lost to problems nobody gets to. I fix both, some of it AI, a lot of it plain automation. The first call is free.

What helps me answer well

  • What the business does and who does the office work
  • Where the time goes, and where the sales slip
  • What you run on: phone system, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, scheduling
  • Whether you've tried AI before, and how it went
